About the Teacher
My journey
Welcome to Kindergarten! I love learning and growing with kindergarten students. This is such a magical age to work with and they change so much through the year.
I began my teaching career with Portland Public Schools in 2004. I have taught Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten. My undergraduate degree is in early childhood/elementary education. I have a masters degree in curriculum and instructions. I received my Doctoral Degree in 2017. My dissertation focused on teaching social justice concepts to Kindergarten and 2nd grade students.

Originally a Washington state native, I have been living in North Portland for the last 30 years. My husband Tom and I have 5 grown children (Jessica, Lage, Brittany, Anders and Elisabeth) and 8 grandchildren (Cameron, Morgan, Keller, Dylan, Heaven, Logan, Elliot and Lucien).
